Looks like they replaced the clamps on this aircraft to the screw type clamps.

I couldn't agree more!! I will probably paint the two fittings different colors. Like bright yellow and dark blue. Something that even a color blind person can't mix up.

Hang in there Bob, I can relate I remember all the hard work preping my 70 mustang trying to get it straight with no waves. The secret I learned was to start sanding with course sand paper on the long board, if it was to fine wave would always be there to some degree, this saved me alot of hours.

Rotax should engineer this tank so you CAN'T hook up the lines wrong - just have a different fitting for the in and out lines! Also an arrow showing direction of oil flow on each fitting would help.
