I really like holding things in place with waxed flat string compared with using ty-wraps. Just fooling with the blue EL, (Electroluminescence), bundle holding it to the Transponder with pretty effortless success.
The other bundle of LED and selector switch wires will get tied to some of the 1+1/4" diameter instruments upon final assembly.
Oooops, Art installed the 1+1/4" instrument near the LED hole that got filled clocked 90 degrees. Perhaps I should leave it to make me feel more at home when flying knife edge for extended periods?

Art completed the 37 pin D-sub bracket and attached four bulkhead connectors.
He's ready to install this bracket on the Becker transponder and and begin wiring up.

Tying these four waxed cords is fun and reminds me of tying off the four threads when sewing up Hotair Balloons, (double needles).
First tie two cords together, (cw / ccw / cw), then tie the second set of cords together, then tie the first set to the second set ( cw / ccw / cw).

The two connectors and the wire hold down were tied in place with waxed cord after drilling holes in the aluminium plate and a small fillet of Redux / Flox was applied after wetting out with Redux.

Alan taped a piece of G-10 and covered the unwanted hole after first cleaning the hole with MEK and scuff sanding with 80 grit.

The two adjacent holes were filled with a piece of Tygon tube covered with a piece of 3M 375 packaging tape.
The hole was wet out with Redux, then filled with Redux / Flox.

Three LED Oil Pressure assembly, CHT and OT LEDs, selector switch for Port / Stbd CHT and OT / Coolant selector switch are complete and ready for install. The switches first had a piece of adhesive lined heat shrink installed but only partially shrunk. The void was filled with Shoe Goo, and upon cure of Shoe Goo, the heatshrink was fully shrunk. An additional piece of heat shrink was then installed.
