Kind of looks like Europa was struck from behind by another car?
Or perhaps trailer was backed up into something?

Wayne and I have been working on "for Work" and "for Fun" projects since 1992 when my wife was pregnant with son 1 of 2. Her boss at the time introduced us, (nice guy, help supplement salary). That is long enough to have well established 2 house laws:

* For the majority of folks, a second set of hands allows the task at hand to take 1/4 the time compared to doing it yourself. Perhaps for the minority there is a very specific task for which this may be true, but for the majority of tasks for us, it takes twice as long! Not because of incompetence, but we manage to dream up eight times as much stuff that needs to be done in the process to do it right! Wait a second perhaps that is incompetence? Guess so, I just looked it up and our faces are right beside the definition!

* OK enough for esoteric estimates. "THIS IS NO JOKE" We came up with a remarkable and effective way of estimating how long something will take. We, independently of each other, make our best attempt to come up with an hour estimate for the project. Then we add the two estimates together. >>>>> now instead of dividing by two, we "Multiply" by four! That, for the most part, gets us just about half done!

Now that we have a foundation of "House Rules" and "House Laws" HERE WE GO forward to build a Europa >>>> ^^^^^

* Albert's quote:
"Keep things as simple as possible, NOT SIMPLER"
To be kept in mind at all times. If you are not already bored with our album, it won't take long to figure out which half of the quote we tend towards. This is far better than "Bliss" where you don't pay attention, or even worse, you don't know the second half exists!

* Will strive for a Quality Europa. "Quality" being the synergistic harmonization of "Classic" and "Romantic" as defined in "Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance". (Looks and Feels good, Works Good and Reliable). Remember if you pass "Quality Assurance", it does not mean you have "Quality", you just have something as per print!

* When trying to live by the above house rules, it may not always be the cheapest way to go. It can always comfort you just a little knowing that anything and everything ever purchased enjoys a genuine 50% discount, after due diligence in shopping.
Nonetheless both of us felt pretty strongly about giving them a ride if we could have. Andy and John Hurst till the very end helped as much as they could. Neville, well he never stopped helping! As of 10-2007, Europa Aircraft (2004) Ltd has provided and helped with all of our remaining needs, thx. Roger!
Time to move on.
It was assembled with black grease in the Tufnal bushings. A little stiff at first, when became ready to bond in place, was just too stiff. Took us weeks and weeks to beat it apart with sledge hammer and backing so could hone fit, but the front bushing was not very easy to get out, so it got hand lapping with pig oil and McMaster lap that turns to polish then goes away. Better before bond in than after! Real job was to not make a super big mess on bonding areas with lard oil. Then the cowbells broke off and the spar bushings did not match the spar. Next to the CPM from hell is the stabilators from hell. Torque Tube from hell hidden in packaging. Undercarriage mounting frame with undercenter stops and chipping powder coat, and instrument module where the resin is not stuck to wood showed up right before Europa's doors closed. We lost an easy 2 years making "Bad Deal" things right.
