Mid panel insert 12.

This is our Becker 250 watt mode C transponder.
Here you see the installed UMA EL light wedge.
There is not enough clearance between the top of this transponder and the bottom of the Becker com, (same size as the transponder), to install the supplied connector to the EL.
Art mutilated the crimped on connector pins and slit the plastic ribbon a little, then soldered on two #24 wires and heat shrunk in place.
I then tied the wires in place with some waxed ribbon and Art sealed the deal with a little JB KWIK weld.
