If there is too much over center on the LG08s, in the event of a bad bounce LG08s will try and straighten out when the swingarm and associated have a down movement. In other words instead of having an up force on swingarm, now there will be a downforce which will try and straighten LG08s to be on center which will try and push aft and load LG12 lever. If there is too much over center, Graham is saying it could cause LG12 lever to bend in this bounce scenario.
I would imagine using the old style shock absorber that didn't use dampers, the rebound jolt of a violent bounce would put more stress on LG12 lever than with dampers??
