Rudder_hangin_2

Scuff sanded hinge contact areas, wet out with Aeropoxy with 30 minute hardener, then troweled on flox.
Worst hinge area was at fin cap.
Here you see straight edge with G-10 spacers covered with 3M 375 packaging tape clamped in place.
Took a bit of fiddeling with hard and soft tension spring clamps, quick grip style clamps and one C clamp to get measurements (using dial caliper) from outboard side of fin to inboard side of straight edge approx. the same.
You need to ooch up to dimension because if you overdo it you will squeeze out flox.
Bottom 2 hinge areas are hard against fin, middle hinge contact area needed a little fill on one side and upper rudder hinge area was evil with some areas contacting and others that need filling.
Starboard outboard closeout area of fin is pretty straight, so figured will at least make hinge area same thickness and parallel for starters.
Will see how rudder looks when hung and make minor adjustments when reinforcing hinge areas of fin with 2 BID.
