Cockpit strap

Important to maintain dimension so you can install tie-bar and rear lift pin receptacle. We put a strap of Uni to insure this.
On another note, we purchased accelerated cockpit module. It was assembled with black grease on Tufnal bushings. The grease swelled the bushings and it bound up ailerons. Was able to beat out rear bushing and used a flap wheel to adjust fit. The front bushing was not only binding on diameter, but fore and aft, (thrust), as well. www.www.mcmaster.com to the rescue with Soft-Metal Grade 4781A4 lapping compound and Nonstaining Light Colored 6 1308K4 Lard oil. Mix up some yellow slime and lap a beautiful fit. Took a while. Nice thing about mentioned lapping compound is it begins as a lap, then turns to a polish, then goes away. Can even use in a motor. Traditional abrasive lapping compound will embed in soft and cut forever.
