ELT antenna now flight ready. Just waiting on a 90 degree 50 ohm BNC adapter from ACS. Installed on tip of antenna is a small piece of silicone tubing, JB KWIKed and wrapped with some Kevlar thread for "poke" protection.
Length of antenna is 12". We made some radials (radius) 12" but ended up shy where fuse curves up and stopped at the height of the base of antenna with a horizontal leg. Shaved a few inches shy near transponder antenna radial and went a little shy on radials below the nav portion of AAE antenna on roof.
