Here is a neat potential idea that can be used for resistors, diodes or?? Put in a fuse sized package and insert in a fuse holder. What's old is new again!Waynes Dad Art has a ~1929 Atwaterkent regenerative AM radio (made in Britan).
It had a failed encased in glass 2 megohm resistor. Keeping somewhat with technology of day he garbaged picked an old fuse (for thin glass tube) and I turned him some brass ends to fit in original holder.
