The pin has been removed along with the float arms. The float arm has a needle valve connected between the arms. The needle valve is loosely connected with a tiny spring. Take care and don't loose these! The replacement kit has two pins and two gaskets. I can't tell if you can see from this pic, but the old pin actually has some small spots were the plating has begun to crack and is fixing to come off.
