Not all is happiness in light in the Garmin WAAS world. The antenna now uses TNC rather than BNC connectors. Needless to say, I have plenty of BNC connectors on hand. I have ordered some TNC connectors for RG-400. Another curve thrown by Garmin is the requirement to put 15' (5 meters) of RG-400 coax between the antenna and radio. This is after requesting a minimum distance for an RG-400 run for the original installation. So my antennas are about 1' (30 cm) from the receivers. Now, they want 15' of RG-400 to ensure the proper signal attenuation for the receiver function. And no other form of attenuation is permitted. I have 30' of RG-400 on order from ACS.
