This shows approximately how much side bending force there is for a given angle off of 180 degrees exerting 100lb force, total length is 48", 24" leg on each side of the bend:
0 degrees 0.0' lbs
15 degrees 26.1' lbs
30 degrees 51.8' lbs
45 degrees 76.5' lbs
60 degrees 100.0'lbs
75 degrees 121.8' lbs
80 degrees 128.6' lbs
90 degrees 141.4' lbs

I will check with Eric, I think " lbs may be incorrect?

I checked with Eric, it was supposed to be Foot Lbs. so I changed this note.
