Mill round slot in master cylinder 8 of 12

Sugar Honey Iced Tea!

When I held the master cylinder by the protuberances of the two mounting holes, I squished the bore and turned it into an oval.

Not by very much (a few thousands on each side) and only ~ the first .125" of the bore.

The seal doesn't begin till further in the bore. The reason is if you look an this picture, the silver on the dust cup holder was slightly larger than the body. If I had seen it, a few strokes of a file, a slight touch with a belt sander or mill would have knocked off the edge and there would not have been a problem.

Oh well. I turned a piece of aluminium the ID of the bore (less two thicknesses of 400 grit wet dry sandpaper and double sticky tape).

About 5 or 10 minutes each side did the trick (needed to change the sand paper every minute).

You can see what was burnished in the bore.
