DSCF0739

I tried picking up a 3 foot extension cord @ Home Depot, but they didn't have anything 3 or 6 foot I liked.
I picked up this tan 6 footer from Target for $7.39. It's flexible enough and because the Male plug is at 90 degrees to the wire, it lays nice and flat when plugged into the power outlet. Target didn't have any 3 prong, 3 footers at all in 14 gauge.
I noted details for this 6 foot extension cord under the "Options" album.
I am sending you both prototypes, but I like the one on the left much better. I mentioned in my E-mail, I didn't put in a fuse. There is now a 10 amp fuse on both the battery side and the generator side of the Electrical Box and figure it isn't needed in the extension cord or the outlet strip to battery plumbing.
If you feel strongly about fusing the alligator clips, you can easily series an automotive style inline blade fuse holder (rubber covered, capped and waterproof).
