Door sill conduit run 1.

We're going to build a door sill conduit box out of Balsa and glass to both strengthen and allow space for running wires. The box area will be strong enough (or so we think) so will run foam and glass for front lift pin stiffening onto it instead of running front stiffener foam and glass up to door sill bottom. If we ran foam and glass to bottom of sill, there wouldn't be enough room for a #4 CCA battery cable on each side and the other wires/tubes.
Fuse seam was strengthened in this area with BID on both sides after we found some Redux voids on fuse seam joint after top fuse bond on when cutting hole for Ultimate Ventilator.
Here we're laying up 2 BID 5" x 3" and 5" x 2.5" to strengthen over the joggle in fuse, (near seam), and give us a good attachment for inside Balsa box glass.
This is port side of fuse.
Used Aeropoxy / 30 minute and peel plied layup.
I asked Graham about lapping foam to Balsa box:
"Ron
I think the fuse side stiffening is important only to prevent bending in the
area around the lift pin, so the foam stiffener will still be adequate. I think
there was only one occurrence of pin popping out and Pete Clarke landed safely.
Graham"
