Mutilated forward fan LED indicator 1.

After waiting for over a month on a back ordered sunlight readable blue LED from Allied to be used for the forward fan indicator, I called them. They took my order but just after the call told me there was a hundred or thousand piece order minimum.
OK going forward I found a 24V version they sold and had in stock and ordered one to test. I called the manufacturer. and they told me it was the same LED as the 12V version with a different dropping resistor, I figured we would just jump the internal resistor and put one of proper value in series.
Nope, although it was slightly brighter, not close to what I wanted.
Richie ended up mutilating the 24V version and installing a powerful blue LED from Best Hong Kong I had laying around. Not a problem but the Best Hong Kong LED is clear not blue. Boy is it bright. We are using a 470 ohm dropping resistor.
