The port front lift pin socket is too wide to fit between wing and fuse.
Alan made a mixing stick measurement tool and filed till it fit with wings rigged.
OK, so now we know how much to remove. Figure we will start by taking off .100".
What an idiot, I got confused figuring the socket would be parallel to the fuse and at an angle to the wing root and began to file a taper.
WRONG, the socket is parallel to the wing and at an angle to the fuse, end result is you need to take away material on both sides.
In other words keep area you are removing material from where that surface is parallel with the base.
Boy is that black anodizing hard stuff.
We will shoot for .040" clearance between socket and wing, (as per Bud), for assembly wiggle room.
