Recorder will be mounted just aft of baggage bay D panel on a foldable shelf. The shelf is being fabricated here with 2 plies of 1/8" balsa, top ply short grain and bottom ply long grain. If you click on image again to enlarge you can see 3D nails used to hold balsa bown to 3/4" ply flat surface. 3D nails? Big models I guess get big pins. Can justify bout anything! (didn't have any straight pins on hand)
