A pair of 1-inch x 6-inch ellipses were drawn with Apple Works and printed out. The ellipses were cut out and attached to the exterior door handle s. The perimeter of the ellipses were drilled out with drill bits of various sizes. The ellipses were cut out with a hacksaw and the rough parts filed down to the ellipse outline.
