Moved over to the starboard door. Mixed up some "5-minute" epoxy and bonded the door down with clamps to hold it in position while the epoxy set. Went away to run errands. Went out this evening to check the fit and see how far off the screw holes were. The epoxy broke and the door came off when I opened it. I think I'll leave the starboard door for a while.
