I have come to the conclusion there's just too much stuff to fit in the available space.  A 1/2 inch (12 - 13 mm) spacer is needed between the firewall and the instrument panel.  I have cut the initial shape out of 0.67 inch (17 mm) plywood.  After Christmas, I'll have to cut out the openings and add some lightening holes before bonding to the back of the panel.]]></description>
