Back of the engine with the big black case removed from the alternator/ignition timing system. I can't believe that I didn't get any separate pics of the rotor/stator system, but I didn't. The stator consists of those copper coils (8 for the alternator & 2 for the 300 volts to charge the ignition system) you see behind the flywheel and rotor is a ring which contains 10 strong permanent magnets and is attached to the back of the flywheel.
