2008 07 13 - I have seen this lady before but this is the first time she has allowed her picture to be taken. This is one BIG black widow spider. Her legs span about 2 inches (5 cm) and her body is a good 1/2 inch (1.8 cm) long. I have declared her to be my official Hanger Watch Spider.
