These were various test parts I had thought about using. The Bowden cable and sheath will only be used as a final resort as they require the most alteration and rework of the system. I have 0.065 solid stainless steel wire on order from McMaster-Carr. If I can get it straightened out off the spool, I hope to be able to use it as an almost direct replacement for the 0.065 stranded wire. The only change will be the method of attachment to the throttle lever. I had hoped to use this nifty cable end to adapt the replacement cable to the throttle lever. You can see on the removed cable that it has taken a permanent set. This only becomes worse every time it recurs. 2009 16 15 - Flew this morning. Departed Denton to Ironhead. Landed Ironhead. Taxi back to takeoff. Throttle forward, roll started, max rpm only 4000, aborted takeoff roll. Taxi back, hold brake, work throttle, finally get 5780 rpm, release brake, takeoff, fly back to Denton and land.

Cowl comes off and we inspect the throttle working.

And ran the full suite of power-on prop tests. Needless to say, it all worked as per specs. Between weather and other issues, haven't had any opportunity to fly.
