I have chop saw set for 20 degree cuts.

NOTE: It seems like you are getting something accomplished when you are needing to remove metal splinters from your fingers. The greater the frequency you have to stop and get rid of these near microscopic splinters, the faster you are working! I keep a Swiss Army knife on my person at all times, so it's a 15 second break.
The chop saw, hack saw, file, band saw is not too bad.
Drill, tap and countersink = getting worst.
Lathe = not too bad.
Milling = really bad.
Sweeping and vacuuming away chips helps to somewhat control (I don't like blowing away, if one of those splinters got in your eye OOOCH!).
When wiping down machines with fresh paper towels (wet out with WD40) works OK. Don't even think about using a used one that is filled with metal chips, guarantee splinter/s.
