We know that proper location for AOA is between 2" and 12" aft of lead edge about 6" below bottom of wing. "When" this nice looking AOA does not work, (because air flow at height of AOA may follow bottom of wing too much), we don't want to do a lot of work to make it work if that is the case. Thus we are in process of installing a 1/4" aluminium tube on the port wing through the spar at the same location the stall warner is in the starboard side, and make a small access cover at the lead edge. This way only need to move tube from "nice looker" to aluminium tube, and make a AOA probe to mount to access panel. Picts will follow when we complete aluminium tube and access cover. Location of cover will allow this AOA to be protected by trailer wheel/fender somewhat.
