Detail of connection. #26 wires doubled over and crimped to machined male D-sub pin. D-sub gets heat shrink over wire for strain relief. D-sub gets crimped to Radio Shack 9 pin Molex connector after the insulation crimp is cut off, then D-sub is soldered to Molex pin. There is no solder on #26 wire to make it stiff.
