Next 7 or 8 photos show reinforcing the rudder area of the fin with 2 layers of bid. Then getting the surface as even as possible so the hinge goes on straight. Keep in mind, the guy I bought from had his shop install a piano hinge going the entire length of the fin. Looks nice and I assume will be more sturdy.
