Ended up having to remove another wedge of material, 1/4" at the bottom to zero at the top to obtain the 30 degrees of rudder movement. Looks like I will still have to remove another wedge from bottom to 1/3 of the way up to obtain a bit more clearance at the bottom and allow for coats of primer and paint. This work took the rest of the morning and the early part of the afternoon.
