Tailwheel

Tailwheel springs were not only not tensioned, but cable was a little slack.
this a RV stock tailwheel assembly.
Bob from Flight Crafters mentioned RV suggests 1/2" slack on tailwheel cables.
He also mentioned he, as well his very experienced test pilot likes Mono tailwheel springs with no tension and just a little slack. He also mentioned Ivan Shaw likes no slack and a little spring tension. Too much spring tension he said, can cause some issues on cross
wind rollouts since your tailwheel will wear more rapidly fighting the rudder input.
He is not sure if worn tire on right side is from misaligned spring or ?? (Perhaps right rudder needed for takeoff)
Since he has a conventional gear, he has differential brakes.
