Mass balance box 1.
Bonded mass balance boxes in place after tops were cut off and all was scuff sanded. Used 36 grit, (reddish/brown colored power belt sander belt cut to small size), then 80 grit wet/dry.
1.68oz of Redux, (1.68oz of yellow resin, had to then add hardener), is just bout right amount. Mixed so it didn't slump off stick.
Scuff sanding takes a while as there are so many sides and lots of sharp corners. Sanded top inside in preparation of required layup between mass balance box and inside bottom of top wingskin.
Note 1 BID layup on aft side of wing closeout is covering mass balance hole and will need to be trimmed after cure.
