Titanium cone shaped washers reduced friction.
Here starboard rudder cable (top) has a new .450" high Titanium spacer, has a 19 degree angle and a .050" shoulder. OD is 1". It needed another wide area washer under cone washer to prevent thimble from hitting and shaving rudder horn.
Lower tailwheel cable cone washer is 15 degrees, 1" OD with a .050" shoulder.
Both of these cone washers have a .250" ID that allows them to turn and thrust on whatever is below (washer or horn).
